We don't pollute our own house..!!
Why polluting Sabarimala.??
We don't throw plastic waste in our house..!!
Why use of plastic in Sabarimala..??
We don't create inconvenience to our family members in our house..!!
Why causing inconvenience to co-devotee, as everyone treated equal by Lord Ayyappa..??
We don't use footwear in our pooja room..!!
Why using footwear, at the hill Shrine..??
We don't contaminate holy water used for pooja..!!
Why contaminating holy river pamba...??
We will be very patient in our pooja room to perform rituals..!!
Why dont we show patience at holy shrine...??
My observations regarding Sabarimala Yatra, from various sources:
1. People are using footwear both in deeksha and also at hill shrine. Which is not at all acceptable by Lord Ayyappa. Normal devotees , even security personnel like Black Commandos, RAF are also using footwear at the hill shrine. TDB has to take steps to avoid using footwear atleast at the area before the holy 18 steps.
2. People are allowed to take deeksha after reaching Pamba and are allowed to remove mala at the pamba. Guru swamies or TDB officials should take necessary action to prevent such wrong practices. TDB, Guru Swamies or Priest of temples who give deeksha to devotees should give clear instructions to devotees before giving deeksha, that deeksha should be taken for 41 days before yatra and should be removed after reaching home. Also, Irumudi should be taken on the day the journey starts from your place, but not from Pamba.
3. There are many apprehensions about the dress code of Ayyappa Devotees. People are wearing Black/Blue/Orange/ other colored clothes in deeksha. As per the story of Lord, Ayyappa says to shani that, his devotees will wear black colored clothes during mandalam deeksha. But we see people using different colored clothes, including many VIP's. TDB/Temple Priests/Guru Swamies has to clear these apprehensions, to make people follow correct customs in Ayyappa Deeksha.
4. We see huge crowd to hill shrine in every season. As we all know, there will be very minimum facilties, which can give comfort to crores of devotees. So Guru Swamies should make Swamies in his group to be very patient and adjust to the facilities available at the hill shrine. Remember temple is not in a metropolitan city, but it is in a thick forest. We should accept that, Devsom Board has a scope of improving facilities, they have to do this.
5. Plastic usage should be reduced at the hill shrine. As we got used to plastic usage, we should make habit of avoiding more plastic in our life. At the hill shrine, plastic and other waste should be disposed at the waste disposal place, but not in all places at the hill shrine.
6. Swamies having bath in pamba, believe that they should leave a pair of clothes at pamba. Again, TDB/Temple Priest/Guru Swamies should clear this apprehensions. We should make sure, that we dont contaminate the water at pamba.
